Angela Hayes, MS, LPC, NCC, CPTT

Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Counselor

I began my journey in 2010 when God placed in my heart the desire to be a counselor. I believe my calling is to help people heal from the various challenges that life can bring on a daily basis. My therapeutic approach provides a safe and non-threatening environment for clients seeking counseling.

I am a licensed professional counselor and a certified partner trauma therapist and a Mindfulness Based Addiction and Trauma Therapist Scholar. I provide counseling services for individuals, couples, family and groups. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Montevallo. I obtained my Masters of Science Degree from Capella University with a specialization in mental health counseling. I have extensive experience providing therapy in many different client populations including groups and an inpatient hospital setting. I have a specialty in couples and family and working with clients who have experienced betrayal trauma. I utilize various treatment modalities, including CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, IFS, Mindfulness Based Strategies and Solution Focused therapy with my clients and believe in a client led approach to therapy.

In October of 2020, I became a published children’s author. I had the dream of writing a book on bullying because of the childhood bullying I endured in my own life. God provided the opportunity for me to co author two books on bullying and the importance of kindness. I have hope that the books will continue to help families. I am blessed to have the opportunity to provide therapy to clients who have also been traumatized as a result of bullying.

It is my honor to be able to hold space for my client’s healing processes. My vision is to help in the journey to healing. I believe people can survive the hurdles and traumas of life with support, empathy, non-judgment and quality interventions.
